  • Centeva, LLC – Sustainability Action Plan provides guidance for the management consulting firm in managing energy, water, waste, and employee travel in a Triple Bottom Line approach addressing their environmental impact, social responsibility, and economic engine.
  • Client Name Confidential - Sustainability Action Plan provides a landscape analysis evaluating opportunities for philanthropies to accelerate solutions to climate change.
  • Created a Business Plan for CoCo World, a social enterprise designing edtech solutions to empower youth to communicate, connect and share knowledge.
  • 5280 Recycling Solutions - Business Plan for intrapreneurial startup. Company hauls construction-and-demolition waste, and the plan is for diverting wood waste into urban wood-based biochar.
  • International School Nido de Águilas – recommendations provided in the Sustainability Action Plan addressed opportunities for operational cost reduction in energy, waste and material, transportation and provided green building standards.
  • The Presbyterian Church, Fredericksburg, Virginia – Sustainability Action Plan to achieve Earth Care Congregation certification in 2022 through the completion of qualifying initiatives in 2021.

  • Land Buffering Solution for Industrial Facilities: Proposed Sustainability Action Plan (SAP) 

Capstone Project Descriptions

 

Client: Icelantic - the Sustainability Action Plan (SAP) for the ski company defines greenhouse gas emission reduction goals and commitments, describes a vision and mission statement embracing Sustainability, provides a website page and content for sustainability information as well as a roadmap to publish emissions report cards for each pair of skis. 

Client: Bates College - to advance major progress already achieved re: Net Zero, the updated Climate Action Plan, approved by the Board of Trustees, focuses on increasing energy efficiency and use of renewable energy plus building on the school's culture vis a vis Sustainability and community outreach. 

Client: DT Global - the plan provides comprehensive guidance and recommendations re:  how SDGs may be integrated as a powerful tool to establish more rigorous processes to measure its impact and communicate publicly how the company is helping to shape a more sustainable world. 

Client: Luwire Wildlife Conservancy - the SAP focuses on sustainable tourism in the Niassa region of northern Mozambique with goals of promoting low impact, adventure travel opportunities. Implementation will play a key role in the country's emerging tourism industry by offering one of the only terrestrial-based nature tourism products in a market that has been dominated so heavily by coastal travel. 

Client: A.L.C. - for the contemporary fashion brand company, the SAP tackles singles use plastics within packaging and provides recommended initiatives to increase energy efficiency, reduce waste, and lower costs. In addition, the plan explores business opportunities within the sustainability space to maximize environmental impact while increasing profits. Finally, areas are identified to strengthen customer loyalty while maintaining their integrity.  

Client: Mountain Association of Kentucky - primary operations include business support, lending, energy evaluations, and community training. The SAP will help the organization integrate energy storage into its current client services. The SAP includes a recommendation for training clients on solar storage, a plan for calculating cost-benefit analyses of solar storage, a method for tracking benefits, as well as strategies for integration by 2024. 

Client: Aquaponics Business Plan - the goal is to provide fresh, organically grown food to urban communities with limited access to farmland. Community engagement will allow the aquaponics farm to run with minimal monetary inputs using natural systems to reduce the amount of irrigation and soil maintenance needed to grow food. This will also allow the operation to be productive in small urban plots. 

Capstone Project Descriptions

 

Client: Town of Sherborn, MA - Climate Action Plan which, when implemented will reduce greenhouse gas emissions and enable the Town to become a more sustainable and resilient community.  

Client: New Avenues for Youth (NAFY) is a homeless youth social service non-profit in Portland, OR - Sustainability Action Plan will fulfill a green initiative requirement for a grant received and help NARY become more environmentally friendly and engaging of the youth. 

Client: QoQa is a Swiss e-commerce company - Sustainability Action Plan (SAP) focused on addressing uniqueness of the company and providing creative solutions to reduce environmental impacts. 

Client: CIMB Group Holdings Berhad in Malaysia - Plan includes business case for Internal Carbon Pricing (ICP), developing and presenting  a proposed ICP framework, including a suitable carbon price for CIMB and roadmap for implementation. 

Client: Los Angeles County Fairgrounds, hotel and exposition center also known as the Fairplex - Sustainability Action Plan, due to the size of the campus and the various activities taking place, the SAP is focused primarily on energy. 

Client: Circular Economy Alliance and the Circular Economy Research Centre at Ecole des Ponts University - as part of a Certificate in Circular economy, researched re: best practices and provided the module on Skills and Education to enable workforce transition to Circular Economy. 

Client: Mamava provides portable lactation spaces for use by mothers in various types of locations such as airports - Plan provides a Sustainability Framework including key programs, policies, procedures and recommended Key Performance Indicators with special emphasis on Circular Economy. 

Client: Association of Municipalities of Panama (AMUPA) - Sustainable City Plan provides a comprehensive set of recommended initiatives which, when implemented, will enable improvement in the quality of living in the Metropolitan Areas of Panama. 

Client: Jonathan Jackson Foundation focuses on three key areas; sports, job creation & training, and humanitarian aid - Community Development Plan provides a range of solutions that can be piloted in Nairobi, Kenya to make toilet and shower blocks self-sustaining and a profitable source of income for the community. 

Client: Pilot Project Brewing acts as a launch pad for start-up breweries - Sustainability Action Plan provides recommendations which include a sustainability rotational loan, financial/environmental impact systems in place to track progress, research on vendor partnerships, a training program/guide for current and future breweries.
